Customer complaint:

My automotive X6 key cutting machinedisplays "X sensor Error" when i powered on it.

What’s the error message?

"X sensor Error"

Why "X sensor Error" pops up?

Because the screw in the V8/X6 main unit is not locked

How to solve V8/X6 "X sensor Error"?

Loosening off the screws with a proper screwdriver, then open the front cover

Open the lid

Tighten the two screws marked with a red circle

Then "X sensor Error" will be solved. AutomotiveV8/X6 key cutting machinewill work without issues.

Most W204 W207 W212 ESL will damage with EIS. There are two possible reasons and solution:

• ESL motor is damaged and need to replace a new motor
• NEC chip is locked, although it is said to be able to unlock, actually it needs to replace new ESL （ELV emulator ）show as follows

Device to use:

ESL/ELV Motor Steering Lock

How to tell if the ESL is damaged or NEC is locked?

Connect toVVDI MB Tooland open the software, click "Check ESL damage” and you will get any of following display:

ESL is normal: itmeans the motor is damaged and you need a new full set of ESL motor shown as follows:

FYI, the middle picture is ESL/ELV Motor Steering Lock:

ESL is damaged:need to replace new ESL.

Steps: replace ESL with VVDI MB BGA Tool

Step1.

Erase EIS, then re-write EIS and personalize ESL, finally ESL is synchronized. Note: if you not erase ESL at first, but only personalize ESL, the ESL won’t be synchronized.

To erase EIS, both Key password and Erase password are required.

1) For the "Key password", you can get it by adding keys.

2) For the "Erase password", you can get by VVDI MB tool it is at 90% percent success rate, if no success; email us the EIS data for help.

After input the two passwords, click "Save EIS data" then "Erase EIS"

Now the EIS is full new

Step2.

Load EIS data

Tick "IR" to write EIS data and "OBD" to write VIN.

Step3.Click "Personalize W204 ESL”

Step4.

Now, the options "Initialized", "TP Cleared" and "Personalized" are ticked, except "Activated”

Insert the original car key then EIS and ESL is in "Activated” status.

Finally renew ESL with success.

Note:

It’s hard to buy Mercedes 204/207 EIS and they are expensive. If you have 204/ 207 all key lost, you are advised to use W212 EIS for replacement and the ESL n.

Question: I installed HDSHIMDiagnosticTool software with success, and connected to the Honda, and set COM1, but when I pressed the Start button to diagnose, I got error message

"FailedtoinitializeJ2534.dll", then I disconnected HDS to the vehicle and then pressed the

Start button, I got the same error, my computer is windows XP.

Solution: I guess you used the original MVCI software to install; our software is no need to press the Start button, now free download newestHIMV3.017 and just follow the YouTube video to install.

I own myself a 2000 BMW 3 Series 328i 4dr Sedan. My airbag light illuminated several times during the past a few months. Every time I took it to the dealer shop, I was charged 50 $ to 75 $ to have the airbag light reset. Then I realized that I had got myself a DIY airbag reset tool.
One of my school mate recommend me BMW B800 SRS / ABS reset tool. I purchased one at a quite right price $ 24 includes B800 main unit, two connectors and user manual.
It is not difficult to hook up to use First of all, turn ignition switch to "ON" but not start the engine;. Then plug the B800 scanner into the diagnostic socket and press scroll button to CA. I had removed drivers' airbag weeks before to paint steering wheel and pinched wires during reassembly.
The second time it helped to quickly reset the SRS system because the door was wire loose. Fixed, usedB800 reset toolas instructed and no more air bag light
.
I know that B800 works on older BMW vehicle (from 1994 to 2003) on the manual book, so I will not tell a lie that it works as good as on newer BMW vehicles. But it is trustful product for older BMW owners as me.

Days ago, I used the newENET cableto manage to do some coding on BMW F22 M235i. Then, i share my coding adventure on forums. And here is one of useful feedback. Put them here and it works.

My post:

"Finally had enough time off work to get all the software installed onto my laptop (over 7GB of files). Once installed I took my newE-SYS cableand connected to the OBD II port in the car. Note, if you haven't found this connection yet it took me a while. My old E92 had a little plastic door right above the hood release, not on the F22. Everything being black I had to take a flashlight up under the driver side before I found it. No cover on it, just sits along the side kick panel above and back from the trunk release button.

Fired up the car (you can put your car on battery tender instead) and connected my new cable to the port and into the laptop. Fired up my new software (without the needed token files) and hit "connect" and prayed it would work. After two or so minutes of files loading and the LAN connection establishing communication with the car I had an active connection

Not having all the software fully licensed for use yet I did some simple looking around and check to see if my car was supported with the default F20 file set. I was able to the read my cars VIN and populate all the internal settings in the software configuration. Really cool! I now have access to all the internal data settings stored in my ECU. Save a copy of the original settings (will back them up to be safe) and shutdown. Once i get the token files I will begin finding and coding the different settings.

Pretty exciting stuff that I get to be my normal computer geek self and play with my favorite toy at the same time. Will keep this thread updated with my experience as I proceed.”

"You don't need to be a computer software developer to install and use the software, but that won't hurt either. The reason you are finding it difficult to find all the required information and setup in one location, as best I can tell, is thata lot of what is being done could be consider in violation of warranty and/or software rights. I think the people who have ventured into this are vary worried about being exposed to the powers to be, or worst held in some legal contempt for helping others change computer settings in someone else's vehicle.

I had to make contact with no less than 3 individuals who have experience with the process and access to the software before I could even get it started. Now that I made it pass the initial issues I feel pretty good about performing these changes to my own car. I guess we will see shortly as I now have my token to perform

Digiprog III Digiprog3 Odometer correction tool has newly upgraded to V 4.94, the neste version add some vehicle models. Following is the digiprog 3 setup instruction. 
 
1. Connect the digiprog 3 main unit into the OBD diagnostic socket, but do not use the cigar lighter lead. Otherwise, it will lose the warranty. 
 
2. After well connect with vehicle, the digirog 3 main unit will power on, the device is loading the system. 
 
3 Then the device screen will display digiprog III software version information. Software is marked as s unique 12 digit electronic serial number.
 
4. When your digiprog 3 has finished loading an information screen will appear with a disclaimer regarding the use of the machine.
 
5. Click "Check/Tick” button to start using the digiprog 3 odometer correction tool. 
 
6. The digiprog 3 will require password to enter the system. The default password is "1”. 

7. Welcome the main interface. You are also allowed to check the software marked red on the picture below. 
 
8. Select the function you need to do and follow the screen instruction. 
 
The V4.94 digiprog 3 comes with ST01 or ST04 cable, so you do not have to buy extra cable.

Bluetooth ELM327 OBD2 scan tool(software V1.5 and V2.1) are designed to work on standard 16-PIN OBD2 vehicles. Models for the US market are equipped with the standard OBD2 socket starting from 1996. Some modifications are needed to make it work on Europe market pre-CAN 17-PIN Mazda vehicles. But the procedures are valid for standard CAN vehicles.
